On the occasion of Milano Design Week, Marazzi presents two events that showcase a contemporary vision of ceramics: at the Salone del Mobile with The Material Lounge, an immersive space dedicated to the relationship between material, light, and people, and at the Milan showroom with a renewed installation introducing Grande Lume.
From April 21 to 26 at the Salone del Mobile, and at the same time at the Marazzi showroom in Milan on via Borgogna 2 – recently renovated by ACPV Architects – an integrated narrative unfolds between the fair and the city.
At the Salone, Marazzi presents The Material Lounge, a project by Il Magma: a space designed to be inhabited even before being visited. Inspired by the intimate atmosphere of Japanese listening bars, the project focuses on slow time, sensory experience, and relationships, creating a space where light and material engage in continuous dialogue.
In the city, the showroom transforms into a place for gathering and conviviality. A new layout features a dining area that interacts with the Poliedrica project, while the window opens onto a large communal table around which the space is organized, accompanied by coordinated elements and designer seating, in a natural balance between function, material, and relationships.
Connecting the two events is Grande Lume, the central protagonist of the narrative. This evolution of Marazzi’s research on material and light introduces a new design scale, able to amplify architectural continuity, depth, and expressiveness, confirming ceramics as an increasingly central element among surfaces, furniture, and architecture.
