The Terramater collection has received the prestigious Red Dot Award Product Design 2025: Best of the Best, one of the most renowned international design competitions where every year an independent jury evaluates thousands of products in search of the best in terms of aesthetics, functionality, sustainability, and innovation.
The Red Dot: Best of the Best award is the highest distinction, reserved for products that set new standards in pioneering design.
Terramater stood out for its technical and aesthetic characteristics that tell a deep research on enamels, materials, colors, surfaces. Made with Italian raw materials and 60% recycled material, the collection is born from the encounter between special enamels and red clay, which during firing generate material surfaces rich in memory and details.
The color palette consists of seven intense and deep colors, resulting from the reaction between enamels and natural oxides, reminiscent of 70s ceramics while reinterpreting their formats.
Terramater represents a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the revolutionary Marazzi single-firing patent, which in 1974 marked a technological leap in the history of industrial ceramics, allowing a single pass in the kilns instead of two to obtain the finished product, significantly reducing time and energy consumption.
