This project is for the construction of a home in the countryside in the region of Romagna, near the city of Imola. The driving concept behind the project was the integration of the house in the surrounding landscape, with the creation of rooms and spaces that could be enjoyed with as much contact with nature as possible.
An object that adapts to the outdoors and is able to reflect the characteristics of each season as they change during the year.
To achieve this goal, the home was made with traditional materials (masonry and wood) with large sliding glass doors on the ground floor so that the interior and exterior spaces could flow into each other.
The Marazzi EvolutionStone Piasentina line was perfect for obtaining the effect we were looking for because it was developed for both interior and exterior spaces, recalling both natural stone and the colours of the ploughed fields that could be seen from all corners of the house.
The kitchen, dining room, outdoor arbour, and countryside give the sensation of an open-concept, while the living room is distinguished by a split level and the use of natural oak flooring that perfectly complements the Piasentina used in a large format and tied together by the frame in natural iron around the fireplace.
