An attic flat with sea views, featuring porcelain stoneware and millennial pink
One of the characteristics of Marazzi collections is their ability to interact and work together brilliantly, creating elegant, bright and harmoniously integrated spaces, also through clever use of colour. The renovation project for this attic flat in San Benedetto del Tronto is an interesting case in point.
Before the renovation work, the apartment was rather unwelcoming: the dated finish, signs of ageing and dingy interior were at odds with the client’s needs.
To meet this particular brief, the Moreno Farina architecture studio turned to Marazzi for the outdoor floor coverings of the terrace with sea view and for the interior floor and wall tiles.
The linking theme in the refurbishment is the colour palettethat ties the various rooms together harmoniously.
The two bathrooms sing from the same song sheet, linked by millennial pink, a totally on-trend colour that matches with the wall tiles and accompanies guests, telling the story of the attic flat; but there is also a dialogue between the outside and inside space.
Specifically, the floor tiles chosen for the exterior are Treverksoul, a collection in natural wood-effect porcelain stoneware, which significantly enhances the terrace thanks to the feel and sophisticated elegance of wood.
Moving to the interior, the floor coverings throughout are in the Block collection in resin-effect porcelain stoneware. The large size 75x75 cm tiles create a subtle, soft, bright feel: an impression of seamless continuity that goes well with the wood effect chosen for the terrace.
In the master bathroom, Block is used together with Allmarble, the marble-effect collection inspired by the rarest of marbles, in the Altissimo version, white with barely visible veining. The result is elegant and bright and the dialogue between the rooms continues: pink, present in the wallpaper and bathroom furniture, alludes to the chromatic choice for the family bathroom.
For the family bathroom, the architecture studio identified the Nuance collection by Marazzi as the optimal choice. The glossy ceramic tiles, characterised by a vibrant, bright pink hue, pick up on the colours of the master bathroom, again making the most of the light to give the space a welcoming feel.
Thanks to conscious design that cleverly enhances spaces through the synergy of creative solutions and top quality materials, what was once a dated, dingy attic has been transformed into a bright, contemporary and sophisticated attic flat with sea views.
