Marazzi at Euroshop Düsseldorf 2020
Friday 07 February 2020
For the second time, Marazzi confirms its participation at the leading trade fair in the retail sector, Euroshop in Düsseldorf.
The exhibition space, designed by Studio Marco Acerbis, combines new uses of stoneware with the new tactile allure and expressiveness of ceramic material. According to Acerbis, “The image we have of porcelain stoneware is typically of a two-dimensional material in the form of slabs. We imagine a surface that can offer an impressive and rich tactile appeal precisely because of its two-dimensionality. However, with this project I went further: I created a monolithic volume consisting of material blocks placed in the centre of the stand, which form the counter that is the heart of the stand's circulation. It is a strong sculptural element that is made even more significant because it is divided into two blocks that are almost opposed, but linked by their shape and identical finish. The stand gives plenty of room to the various ways in which stoneware can be interpreted in the retail world with alternating small scenic representations. The overall effect is elegant architecture and bright, lively space.”
The highlights of the Marazzi stand areGrande, the collection of porcelain stoneware slabs available in sizes up to 160x320 cm in a 6 mm thickness, and The Top, the new project specifically developed for creating tops, backsplashes, tables and endless tailor-made options for residential and commercial spaces.
The exhibition space is completed by Marazzi’s Crogiolo Lume, the stoneware collection that reinterprets the beauty of handmade majolica tiles, in the new 6x24 cm size, which in 2019 won the award for best design product in the competition held by Archiproducts, the international architecture and design community.
The Marazzi exhibition space is located inHall 11 - Stand B82 at the congress and trade fair centre in Düsseldorf.
