The new Millepiedi, designed by Aldo Cibic, at the Triennale Gardens, Milan
Monday 07 April 2014
Millepiedi, the “oversize bench that makes grown-ups look small”, designed by Aldo Cibic, returns to centre stage with a new skin of Marazzi technical stoneware, at the Triennale Gardens in Milan.
For the new-look Millepiedi, created to mark the inauguration of the Museo del Design, architect Aldo Cibic has chosen SistemNTortora technical stoneware by Marazzi Tecnica in an unusual size (15x15cm) to emphasise the bench’s severe geometrical forms, with the aid of the contrasting colour of the joints between the tiles, in a bright green colour (Mapei Kerapoxy in Lime Green shade).
The installation, a permanent addition to the Triennale Gardens, has been produced by Marazzi in association with Mapei, like the first Millepiedi.
