Marazzi tiles are characterized by their quality and environmental sustainability. High-quality durable tiles that are made to last are combined with an eco-friendly production system. Marazzi is a global benchmark for the ceramic industry and the sustainable quality of its products and production processes is certified according to major international standards.

Marazzi ceramic and porcelain stoneware are eco-friendly because they are made with closed-cycle technology that recovers and reuses energy, production waste and process water, as well as the raw materials it contains. This allows Marazzi to produce tiles in an eco-sustainable way by limiting the extraction of new raw materials – contributing to the natural recovery of quarries –, reducing water use and optimizing energy consumption and waste management.

In 1994, Marazzi was one of the first companies in the industry to obtain ISO 9001 certification, which guarantees the quality of its tiles and production processes. In 2003, its environmental management system obtained ISO 14001 certification.

Marazzi tiles are made with a certified percentage of recycled material that makes them eligible for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) credits, awarded for energy efficiency and green building. Marazzi also the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) system, which requires the publication of a certified environmental declaration that assesses the environmental impact of tiles throughout their life cycle according to ISO 14025 and EN 15804 standards.
